Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FORKS (the "Service"), located at forkslifepath.com. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using FORKS you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@forkslifepath.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. What FORKS is and is not

FORKS is a structured decision-support tool. It helps you compare possible outcomes of major life decisions based on inputs you provide. The free core fork uses deterministic templates and structured logic to produce a comparison. The optional paid deep analysis uses a third-party language model (AI) to generate additional perspective on your inputs. Neither is a prediction of your future. FORKS is not:

  • A licensed medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, investment, or relationship professional.
  • A predictor of your future.
  • A substitute for professional advice from a qualified expert.

Core fork outputs are generated by deterministic templates from your inputs. Deep analysis outputs are generated by an AI language model from your inputs. Both are provided for informational and reflective purposes only. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harm, harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or violates another person's rights.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use the Service to make decisions on behalf of another person without their informed consent.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute fork outputs as professional advice.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you submit (your forks, descriptions, hopes, fears, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising or AI model training.

6. Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL FORKS, ITS OPERATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, RELATIONSHIPS, OR LIFE OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY DECISION YOU MAKE BASED ON ITS OUTPUTS. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC FORK OR FEATURE THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FORKS and its operators from any claim, loss, or liability (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which the Service's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in that State.
